Adam Davies

Adam Davies is a product designer that is focused on the development of new and innovative materials which have a negligible environmental impact. Having graduated from Cardiff School of Art & Design with a degree in BA Product Design, he went on to complete a Master’s degree in Design.

During this, he undertook a number of experimental design projects looking at the effects of plastic waste on local Welsh beaches. The outcome was the development of two biomaterials, one made from seaweed and the other from mycelium. This research proved successful and influenced the formation of the design company Tŷ Syml, which he is currently the CEO of and head of Research & Development.
